Beogram 8002 - Preparing for Transport Using a couple of plastic credit cards, pry up the Beogram platter so it can be grabbed and lifted off the spindle by hand.

One of the openings in the circular plate allows the locking screw to pass through it. Unscrew the bolt so it clears the plate. Then slide the plate so the narrow opening locks under the bolt. Gently tighten the bolt so the plate doesn't move. Do this on all three locking positions.

Finally, slide a cut piece of foam under the middle part of the two parallel turntable arms. Be careful not to touch the stylus or allow it to be pushed down to the turntable deck. The foam will prevent accidental movement of the arm during transportion. Note: If shipping the turntable, some soft packing should be fixed in place between the platter and the lid. Better yet, remove the platter and wrap it separately.
